- Situation -

"But what about sex?" a brave mother sitting at the side of the room blurted out. The silence spread thicker than peanut butter. What had been an ordinary evening parenting class with discussions about toileting, sibling hassles, or getting ready in the morning became something quite a bit more interesting. Gathering her courage and taking a deep breath, our valiant mom continued. "I mean when do you do it? When do you find time?" There was a grateful sigh as the other parents nodded in agreement. Our heroine soldiered on. She released her hands from their death grip, combed her fingers outward through the noiseless air and mustered a final comment. "I mean we fall asleep when he does and he wakes up before we do. We are too tired to stay awake after we finally get him to sleep." Heads were nodding vigorously around the room by this time. Then everyone began to talk.
