"This is infuriating," Marion said to her co-worker as she unsuccessfully sorted through the disaster area that was once a resource room for the center where she worked as head teacher. "I know we have Nana Upstairs here somewhere, but I need it now. I've been in here twice, and there's no record of it ever being checked out and it's not where it should be," she said with growing frustration. "I've looked through the piles on the floor and the shelves. I guess I'll have to search each classroom. And I just don't have the time!"


Li-sun notices a new, quiet child's fascination with the bird feeder on the playground. The child has been slow to warm up, and since she enrolled several days ago has spent much of her time wandering and uninvolved. Li-sun remembers that there are several puzzles of birds in the resource room and that the child showed a little interest in puzzles earlier that morning. She heads upstairs to the resource room at break time, only to discover that she cannot locate the puzzles in the 15 minutes she has before she must be back in the classroom.
