Bright Horizons Acquires ChildrenFirst

Bright Horizons Family Solutions, the nation's largest provider of employer sponsored child care has acquired ChildrenFirst, a leading provider exclusively of back-up child care center. ChildrenFirst’s 33 centers are located in Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, Texas, Illinois, California, Minnesota, Washington, DC, Virginia, and Toronto. Of the 33 centers, nine are managed care centers serving a single employer, including centers for Lehman Brothers, Citigroup, and New York Life. The remainder of their centers are consortium models, serving a total of more than 250 clients including Target, Avon, General Mills, Ropes & Gray LLP, Deloitte & Touche, Warner Bros, and Booz Allen Hamilton.
