A recent survey asked 500 employed American men (ages 25 to 59) with children how they would spend an hour more of free time every day and "spending time with family" came out at the top of the list. Here are the results from the Opinion Research Company survey as reported in Work & Family Life newsletter (October, 2005; [email protected]):

Spending time with family……………..38%

Doing chores or yard work …………….15%

Pursuing a hobby ………………………11%

Exercising ……………………………...11%

Having sex ………………………………8%

Sleeping …………………………………4%

Reading ………………………………….3%

Seeing friends ……………………………3%

Watching TV …………………………….2%

Volunteering ……………………………..1%
