ReadyNation, an advocacy organization that promotes "Strengthening business through effective investments in children and youth," was an active partner in the 2014 World Forum. They recently sent to the United Nations a letter signed by 51 business leaders from all over the world emphasizing the importance of early childhood development in building the productive workforce of the future. This open letter asked the UN to make early childhood development a priority in its final Sustainable Development Goals Report, which will influence its agenda for the next 15 years.
We encourage you to share this letter widely.

We would not need early childhood if we valued family and provided an incentive for parents to stay home with their children in the early years. We are probably the country with the most children in child care programs but we are not a world leader in academic performance.
