Distance Education Seminar in Belfast

For those just getting started in the world of distance education, EC eTeaching Institute Belfast is just what you need.

The Institute, taking place on Saturday, November 20, 2004, in Belfast, Northern Ireland, is designed for early childhood faculty, trainers, and adult educators who are new to distance education and want to learn the basics of effective teaching and learning via the Internet.   TheTeaching Institute is being held in conjunction with Working Forum Belfast, November 17-19.

Join us at the ITxp Centre, a state of the art computer learning centre and Internet Café, featuring the latest in computer hardware, software, and high speed Internet access.

EC eTeaching Institute participants will:

*  Experience e-teaching and e-learning in an interactive and hands-on format

*  Gain a world of ideas for reaching out to early childhood professionals through distance education

*  Learn practical ideas and proven strategies for launching and managing online courses and training programs that meet the needs, interests, abilities and adult learning styles of child care practitioners

*  Interact with ECE faculty and students who are teaching and learning online

*  Join a growing online community of EC eTeachers and eLearners using technology as a tool for teacher education, professional development and program improvement
