Frequently Asked Questions

Here are some typical questions sent in by ExchangeEveryDay readers in recent months:

My computer crashed and I lost the last three days' worth of ExchangeEveryDay.  How can I retrieve these?

You can go to our web site, www.childcareexchange.com and on the home page click on the link "View past issues of EED."  This will take you to our archive where you can bring up any of the past 690 issues of ExchangeEveryDay.

What is the difference between ExchangeEveryDay and EducatorsOnlineExchange?
ExchangeEveryDay is a daily newsblast with ideas and news of interest to all members of the early childhood community.  It is produced daily at the headquarters of Exchange.  EducatorsOnlineExchange also comes out daily but has news and ideas that a more directly targeted to those who educate early childhood professionals -- college professors, trainers, state training officers, etc.  It is edited by Exchange team member Michael Kalinowski from the University of New Hampshire.

Both online publications are available free of charge.  Anyone can sign up for either one or for both.

I have an idea that may be of interest to your readers.  Can I send it to you?
We are always eager to share ideas sent in by our readers.  These ideas must be of general interest to our world wide audience, and you need to include complete information about the source of this idea.  Send ideas for either ExchangeEveryDay or EducatorsOnlineExchange to [email protected].

I tried the link in yesterday's ExchangeEveryDay, but the resource wasn't available.  Why not?
We check every link the night before ExchangeEveryDay goes out to make sure everything is in order.  However, we sometimes find that the web sites we are linking to frequently change what content they have available.  We apologize when this happens and will try to avoid using websites where this has happened in the past.

Does ExchangeEveryDay receive a kickback when you recommend a product of another company?
No.  We receive no compensation either for listing another company's product or for the sales of those items.  Our decisions to list products are based solely on what we believe may be of interest to our readers.
