no need to inquire..let your heart be your guide..don't know where in the world your "susan torngren" comment came out of" obviously not from parenting experience or any type of child care experience...it's important that children have firm guidlines.."say what you mean and mean what you say" are the standard guidelines of parenthood and of working with kids. Most important to always follow through. Don't agree with so many choices... kids need to be directed!!!without this,,,we have a bunch of mixed up kids!

Try giving them choices. Offer 2 or 3 choices, that are acceptable to you, and let them decide what to do.

Hi I was just wondering do you have any thoughts on what effective disipline will work with 4 to 5 years old? I use redirection but lately that does not seem to work!!!! thanks sherry murphy
