Replaced by a Robot?
July 29, 2015
We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit.
-Aristotle

The Daily Mail article, "Will YOUR job be stolen by a robot?" talks about a calculator, based on research by the University of Oxford, which "reveals the likelihood of a droid sitting at your desk in the future."  According to the calculator, accountants and telemarketers are most at risk, "but people who do more creative jobs are less likely to be put out of work by machines."

So here's the calculation you have been waiting for:  "Preschool Teachers have a 0.7% chance of being automated."

Children definitely need and deserve that human touch! In order to pay early childhood educators a better wage I think schools, centers etc. would have to charge higher fees at which point parents may decide that financially it just makes better sense to stay home with the kids themselves.

Well it's great to know that working with children is good job security!! Who would have guessed? The sad side is these individuals are not paid their worth.
