Gratitude is as Contagious as a Smile
January 6, 2017
If we get kids involved in adult activities, that’s play for kids. And then they associate chores with a fun, positive activity. They associate it with playing.
-Michaeleen Doucleff, Hunt, Gather, Parent

"Gratitude is a powerful tool for promoting positive well-being, optimism, and energy in the workplace. … A genuine 'thank you' is an inner acknowledgement to another human being that they matter. It’s a small act with a big ripple effect that confirms a basic truth: we all depend on each other; we're all interconnected," says a newsletter from The Cult Branding Company.

"Many leaders have an overachieving personality. They hold a subconscious fear that if they feel or express gratitude it will undermine their constant drive for improvement in themselves and others. The reality, however, is that feelings of gratitude and appreciation don’t compromise progress; they fuel it."

"What if everyone in your organization was able to cultivate a little more gratitude each day? Might your work environment be very different? With greater appreciation and connection, might your corporate culture be on an entirely different trajectory?"

Everyday exchange brings very special reflections. However it is my feeling that this 2017 has started with very powerful insights that touches strongly into human values and virtues that can provide awareness on key elements for a personal development, specially those one dealing with small children.
GRATITUDE an essential value and one very often forgotten, there is a human tendency to focus on things that causes as problems rather than appreciating positively and with gratitude to the everyday gifts of existance that we all receive. I feel that in the same way that we open express gratitude to people we know ... I am privileged to know most of the wonderful persons mentioned in this note, but how about those incognito ones that deserve enormous worldwide gratitude, for example the volunteer white helmets in Aleppo saving many children lives and caring for them, group of indian women replacing some blue helmets in countries in war situations.
