CHILD CARE CENTER DIRECTOR Gretchen's House Child Care Centers have been providing child development programs for infants through school-age children in the Ann Arbor, Michigan area for over twenty-five years. We currently serve more than 500 families at seven locations in Ann Arbor, one in Pontiac, and one in Houghton, MI. Our newest center, scheduled to open in August, 2010, will be on the campus of Lansing Community College in Lansing, Michigan. This is a laboratory school and will involve the education and training of Lansing Community College students in coordination with the LCC professional teaching staff. It will be licensed for approximately 90 children and has been primarily designed to care for the children of students attending the College. Gretchen's House Child Care Centers are NAEYC accredited. Requirements: This position, available in April, will involve the start up of a new center (licensed for 90 children) scheduled to open in August, 2010. A Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education (or closely related field) is required, along with a minimum of two years teaching and supervisory experience. Applicants must be familiar with NAEYC and Reggio Emilio, and must also be willing to give a minimum of a three year commitment. *Elementary Education applicants must have a ZA (Early Childhood) endorsement.
