Description: General Manager
Exchange Press, Inc., and the World Forum Foundation are looking for a general manager. For 30 years, Exchange Press, Inc. has promoted the exchange of ideas among leaders in early childhood programs worldwide, through its magazine, books, training products, training seminars, and international conferences. The World Forum Foundation coordinates international conferences and working groups to promote a global exchange of ideas on the delivery of quality services for young children in diverse settings.

The General Manager is responsible for…
Maintaining the day to day operations of Exchange Press and the World Forum Foundation in an efficient and effective manner.
Overseeing the implementation of the following functions:
- Customer service
- Order fulfillment
- Purchasing
- Web Development
- Accounting and taxes
- Contracting and insurance
- Personnel administration
- Maintenance of office supplies, equipment and services
Supervising a staff to carry out these functions, providing guidance to and organizing training for this staff, monitoring their performance, and identifying requirements for staff additions or adjustments.
Participating as an active member of the organization's leadership team which evaluates overall performance of the organization, reviews and updates organizational goals, and develops an annual strategic plan.

Exchange Press, Inc., seeks someone who takes initiative and manages time effectively. The General Manager should be a self-starter with great leadership and customer service skills.

Required qualifications include:
- Previous Supervisory Experience
- Ability to work independently
- Proficiency in developing and improving policies and procedures
- Experience with small business finance and accounting

Preferred but not required:
- College Degree (AA or BA) in Business Management, Child Care Administration, or Entrepreneurism.
-Experience as an early childhood center director or resource and referral manager or equivalent.

Compensation:
$45,000 - $60,000 DOE
