NARA Report

There has been a great deal of conversation "over the wire" on how to respond to this. At the very least, there will be a special session at the Licensing Seminar in October on disaster planning. We are also publishing the following as the lead article on the webpage hoping that regulators will take advantage of the expertise and experience within the organization.

Regulators Coping with a Natural Disaster

Several years ago at the Annual Licensing Seminar, a panel discussion focused on "The Impact of Natural Disasters." Click on the link above to review some of the expert advice those of us in the human service field can use today as we cope with and help others cope with the aftermath of this tragedy. Also see PowerPoint&tm; presentation, "Emergency Preparedness in Human Care Facilities."
