Adults know that turkeys play an important role in any Thanksgiving celebration, but what do young children think about turkeys? Here are what some four year olds in Marsha Gutch's group had to say about the subject:

Turkeys fool around. You have to throw a shoe at them, two times, then cook them.

Turkeys have feathers and fat tummies. You run and catch a turkey, hold him and smack him, and put him in a pot and make him a different color.
