Lincoln Health is a non-profit organization that for more than 75 years has provided uninterrupted care to people in the communities surrounding Phoenix, Arizona. By 1927, a community known as Sunnyslope had become a haven for people suffering from tubercular ailments - a haven of unsanitary health camps with no services. The Presbyterian church began bringing food - and the Desert Mission was born.

Inventor and manufacturer John C. Lincoln and his wife Helen arrived from Ohio in 1931 and quickly became the major supporters of Desert Mission. The Lincolns remained an integral part of the operating structure throughout their lives. When John Lincoln died in 1959, Helen C. Lincoln expanded her daily involvement in the programs. Today, the Lincoln family still plays a significant role at Lincoln Health.

Contributions of Helen C. Lincoln have been instrumental in building the Lincoln Learning Center, which provides preschool programs, after school programs, and adult day care. She also helped fund the Desert Mission Food Bank and the Children's Dental Clinic.
