She voiced the question, but I know it was in the minds of many people we encountered along the way and many others who have listened, like my mother, to our stories.Is it possible to go on a journey to a new place and return unchanged? Possible, perhaps, but then what is the point of the journey? And so Roger and I went to Africa to be changed �" to learn, to see, to encounter, and to enjoy �" with a sense of anticipation about what would happen. How would the experience change us?
