Professionalism:
Missing and unaccounted for

In the course of recent years, there seems to be a steady decline in professionalism. Many of our political leaders, executives, rabbis and priests, and teachers, all seem to have forgotten to add the essential ingredient of professionalism in their day to day work. In times when our leaders should be inviting us to rise to a higher standard, to be open to discussions, encouraging us to step up to a higher level even in the face of argument and/or disagreement, there seems to be a much greater focus on digging into the trenches, gathering up bullies and similar pitbull-like allies whose sole purpose is to wrestle us all downward into the dungeons of despair and ugliness.

In these days of accountability, it seems as though there is a total lack of accountability for professionalism. In many ways, professionalism is so absent in the workplace, that when you do notice or experience it, you are almost caught off-guard or surprised.
