Brazil Campaigns for Early Childhood
August 9, 2013
Remember, you have been criticizing yourself for years and it hasn’t worked. Try approving of yourself and see what happens.
-Louise L. Hay

The National Alliance for Early Childhood in Brazil has launched a "National Plan for Early Childhood."  To promote this plan, it has developed a short animated video. Gustavo Amora, World Forum Global Leader for Young Children, directed this video.

It would be a great opportunity to attend such a valuable event for Early Childcare Educators. I would be interested in more information. Regards Ruby.

I think this calls for something I have be advocating for years: A World Forum Conference in Brazil! Brazil is an emerging force in the world, and the largest county (both geographically and by population) in South America. However, it technically is not a Hispanic country, as its official language is Portuguese and its original European settlers came from Portugal. (Like other countries in Latin America, it also includes people of African, Asian, Indian (Amerindian), Middle Eastern, other European countries, and mixed-race decent)

I have been visiting Brazil since 1996 (when I designed and built a playground for young children, profiled in CCIE), Brazil is a fascinating multiracial and multicultural country,

Hello...Bonnie and Roger
Many years ago you attended the Colorado Child Care Association Conference when I was President and my center was highlighted on "the tour of centers."
As I remember correctly, Roger, you were so fascinated by our kindergarten classroom in a real DC7 airplane! www.iliffpreschool.com You might also be interested in the fact that the airplane still graduates 15 early learners every year. This year will be our 50th anniversary!! You can follow our events beginning September 15 on facebook.

I read with interest your recent article on Brazil's campaign for early childhood education. As a young woman, I spent many years with my family in Brazil...my father was an engineer with Petrobras. I am still very involved with my center and in addition, an active board member with socially conscious coffee, www.sccoffee.org. It might be of interest to you what our non-profit has accomplished in the one the world's poorest coffee harvesting communities in Northern Brozil I hope you will visit this website and offer your input on how we might be able to become involved with the global forum.
