A Grand New Adventure
October 16, 2017
A sense of joy in a children’s center can be quiet, loud, gentle, and fun… heard, smelled, and tasted…muddy and dirty…wet and slippery…blue, red, yellow, purple, brown, black, and orange.
-Bev Bos, 1934-2016, teacher, author, musician

So much of what goes into creating each issue of Exchange magazine is done behind the scenes so you, as the reader, are truly receiving our very best in content, graphics, and organization. Editor-in-Chief Sara Gilliam, who joined the Exchange team last year, is working alongside the production staff that has brought you Exchange magazine for decades.

It’s a rare occurrence, in the history of Exchange, that we’ve said goodbye to a beloved staff member. With gratitude and wishes for grand new adventures, we will bid farewell to our amazingly talented Production Editor Carole White, who is retiring after more than 20 years of dedicated work with Exchange Press. Thank you, Carole, for your precision, wit and friendship. On behalf of Exchange and the thousands of adoring readers, you will be missed. Bon voyage!

Because of Carole's upcoming departure, Exchange magazine is in need of a new Production Editor. The ideal candidate is highly organized and able to keep track of multiple calendars, tasks and projects. Strong editorial and communication skills, and strong familiarity with Adobe InDesign are also essential. This is a national search and the Production Editor can work remotely from anywhere in North America. Click here for more information, to apply, or share with those in your network.

Carole has been such a fabulous asset to Exchange magazine, and a wonderful collaborator and guide whenever I've written for Exchange or worked on World Forum publications. Her exacting standards combined with her huge heart made all the difference in wrangling many a rag-tag mess of big ideas into beautiful and coherent pieces among many other pieces. Carole, hope to see you on your island sometime. I'm sure your garden will grow even bigger now. Your impact on Exchange and WFF will be missed!
