An Inspiring New Book
January 14, 2020
Hope begins in the dark, the stubborn hope that if you just show up and try to do the right thing, the dawn will come. You wait and watch and work; you don't give up.
-Anne Lamott

Holly Elissa Bruno has written a story of hope. The popular author and speaker’s new book is unlike any of her others. In Happiness is Running Through the Streets to Find You she invites the reader to journey with her as she bravely confronts the reality of a painful childhood. Each step of the way, she encourages readers to reflect on their own experiences with trauma, perhaps finding opportunities to help children in their care, or to confront challenging parts of their own lives. Bruno’s gift of honesty and openness demonstrates ways to translate trauma into the kind of healing that brings gifts for the soul.

This new title is a valuable resource for those of us who work with children, and for anyone eager to leave behind shame or guilt from past events and move into the empowering light of total self-acceptance. As well-known author Mary Pipher writes: “Bruno’s fine book describes the experience of recovering from trauma and transforming pain into love and joy. This deeply empathic book will inspire and guide others as they make the same journey.”

The book that turns trauma into hope, is very interesting and also inspiring. I believe its hard to get over traumatic events that happen in our life, so turning this into a book can help children or may even younger adults cope with previous or current life events.
