You Can Still See the World
April 26, 2021
Creativity doesn’t wait for the perfect moment. It fashions its own perfect moments out of ordinary ones.
-Artist, Bruce Garrabrandt
Dear Exchange Community,

I never cease to be amazed at the creativity and resiliency of early childhood professionals. Last week I was fortunate to attend the World Forum Foundation’s Virtual World Tour of ten countries. Each country team sent in incredible video footage, and I learned so much about early childhood development world-wide, and about issues such as connecting children with nature, increasing appreciation for diversity, the power of using storytelling with children, and how to help children build their resilience. What a creative way to connect with colleagues around the world!

I know many of you I’ve talked to were not able to attend the tour, but there’s good news. The World Forum Foundation is offering a self-paced option for "attending" the tour without the live sessions, but with access to all the content. Here’s the information:

Continuing Professional Development Self-Paced Enrollment
The World Forum’s World Tour can be accessed as a self-paced professional development opportunity for those who did not participate in the 2021 live event. The World Tour is a CACHE Endorsed Program and it is possible to earn 20 Continuing Professional Development hours by completing the tour content as a self-paced course.

For anyone who did not participate in the live virtual event, registration is still open for those who would like to enroll to access videos and resources highlighting ECD in 10 countries around the world. The cost is 30% less than the original live event, and access is granted for 60 days. (Extended access or projection licenses can be purchased by those who enroll in the self-paced World Tour course). If you are a current ECD student, interested in self-paced enrollment, please reach out to [email protected] for a special student rate.

This World Tour event is just one example of the kind of creativity and resilience I know so many of you have had to call on every day. Kudos for your very important work!
