Anti-Bias Film Premiere

The things you do for yourself are gone when you are gone, but the things you do for others remain as your legacy.
Kalu Ndukwe Kalu, Nigerian-born American political scientist

Recently Debbie LeeKeenan sent us this note about the film she and John Nimmo produced to help early care and education practitioners support anti-bias education:

"While our film, ‘Reflecting on Anti-bias in Action: The Early Years’ was released on April 1 for free online streaming, and has been viewed around the world over 70,000 times, we had our theatrical premiere as part of the Local Sightings Film Festival in Seattle, WA on Sept 25, 2021. It was exciting to finally be together in person to see the film on big screen. After the screening, featured teachers and their program directors were part of a panel discussion with the audience. The film provided the provocation for the important conversation about what is possible in doing anti-bias work with young children and how to be strategic about the challenges.

We also got our first real film review."
