Meet World Forum National Representative Magela Guimaraes!
Location: Montevideo, Uruguay
Position/Association: English Teacher for San Juan Bautista. Member of the Educators Team of the
Provincia Nuestra Señora de la Esperanza.
What are you most passionate about?
"Interaction with children. Being with them is the fuel of my life. Teaching young teachers how to deal with everyday situations is fantastic."
How did you become a National Representative?
"I attended the very first World Forum in Honolulu, Hawaii [in 1999]. And since then I’ve gotten involved with each World Forum, as presenter, moderator and doing what is needed to add participants, and to promote the event in my country. Is it an addiction? I don’t know, but I make any possible effort to be part of this huge event and to connect other teachers to attend it, at least once in their lives. Everyone deserves to experience the World Forum spirit, the kind atmosphere, and open the heart to a new lifetime friend. It does work, believe me."
What is your hope for the World Forum Foundation?
"To keep gathering educators from all around the world in order to exchange ideas and create many networking forces on behalf of the children."
