We try to give each child and the members of each family a sense of belonging and mutual respect. After all, a community is only made stronger through each of its members and each member needs the support of a community to grow and develop. So, how does this community grow? It must begin with respect and communication; daily, open, friendly, and shared communication, remembering the importance of really listening, as well as speaking.


The words below are from parents whose children attend the Child Development Lab. Building a sense of family and a sense of community provides the meaning to all we do:

The thing I most appreciate is an overall atmosphere of inclusiveness. It's as if the classroom is for families, not just the child. And, I think when I do something that my kids see me doing (coming for lunch, telling about Chanukah, or Passover), they feel important, too. By the way, I especially like that Gina can return to the preschool class to do a lot of the presenting of the Jewish holidays!
