Call for Papers
The Journal of Early Childhood is Nepal's first and only journal devoted to early years education and care. The first volume of the journal was published in 2002. The second volume was published in 2004. The journal is published by Early Childhood Development Resource Centre at the Research Centre for Educational Innovation and Development, Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu, Nepal. The journal's co-editors Dr. Kishor Shrestha, Tribhuvan University, Nepal, Dr. Wayne Eastman, College of the North Atlantic, Canada, and Dr. Jacqueline Hayden, University of Western Sydney, Australia are now soliciting manuscripts for the 2005 edition of The Journal of Early Childhood.

The Journal of Early Childhood is a multidisciplinary journal concerned with child development and early childhood care and education. Authors from Nepal and around the world are invited to submit articles and book reviews which reflect both research and practice in child development. Submissions should appeal to an audience that includes professionals in the field, teachers, and researchers.

Articles should be limited to around 3000 to 5000 words. Style should be consistent with the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (5th ed.). Type should be double spaced. Please include a brief biographical sketch of the author(s). Articles should be sent to: [email protected].

The Journal of Early Childhood is the direct result of a project between Kishor and Wayne funded by the World Forum Networking Fund in 2002. The journal is being published with partial funding from UNICEF Nepal. The second volume of the journal was reprinted in the United States in 2005 and a copy was distributed to all the delegates who attended the World Forum 2005 in Montreal.
