Effective Practice with e-Learning

After three days without reading, talk becomes flavorless.
Chinese proverb

The Joint Information Systems Committee (JISC) e-Learning Programme promotes the development of national and international standards for effective e-Learning. The Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) funds JISC to support higher education and research in the use of Information and Communications Technology.

The JISC e-Learning Programme has recently published Effective Practice with e-Learning: A good practice guide in designing for learning. The guide provides basic information on the context for e-Learning, what e-Learning is, and an introduction to effective practices with e-Learning. Information on learning design, case studies on e-Learning in practice, and models for effective practice are also included.

The publication also includes a companion CD-ROM with additional case studies in video format. More detailed versions of the case studies can be found on the JISC eLearning and Pedagogy website.
