Babies

A cold is both positive and negative; sometimes the Eyes have it and sometimes the Nose.
William Lyon Phelps

I am sure that by now all but 5 of ExchangeEveryDay's 80,000 readers have viewed the documentary, Babies.  But Bonnie finally convinced me to view it last week and I was blown away.  It follows four babies from Japan, Namibia, Mongolia, and the United States from birth through babyhood.

One of the great things about the movie is that there is zero narration.  So for the entire 80 minutes you are simply observing babies in their very diverse settings, without being instructed or preached to.  This film would be a great discussion provoker among any group of early childhood professionals, a great way to analyze your basic assumptions about early education.
