Frequently Asked Questions

What lies behind us, and what lies before us are tiny matters, compared to what lies within us.
Ralph Waldo Emerson

We often get questions about ExchangeEveryDay. Below are answers to the most common ones.

Do you agree with all the views expressed in ExchangeEveryDay stories?
ExchangeEveryDay is designed to be provocative, to stimulate people's thinking.  We do not agree with all the ideas we post, and I am sure that our readers do not agree with all the points either.  But we do hope that these items provoke some healthy thinking and dialogue.  Click "Comment on this article" at the bottom of each ExchangeEveryDay to share your thoughts.

Where do you find the ideas for ExchangeEveryDay?
We search far and wide for ideas that may interest our readers — from books on child development to articles in the Wall Street Journal, from news items shared by our readers to ideas pulled from our own publications.  When you run across a story or an opinion that you think would interest your peers, send it along to [email protected].  Since I have a desk drawer full of pending ideas, I can't guarantee I will use it, but if I do, I will give you credit.

Why do I not receive every issue of ExchangeEveryDay?
There are several reasons you may not be receiving ExchangeEveryDay.  The most common is a SPAM filter.  We suggest you add [email protected] as a safe sender in your email client.  You can also consult EED FAQs on our website for additional solutions.
