Your Fundraising Stories

I think, at a child's birth, if a mother could ask a fairy godmother to endow it with the most useful gift, that gift would be curiosity.
Eleanor Roosevelt

The September issue of Exchange included the article, "Secrets to Successful Fundraisers" by Dawn Marie Barhyte. We are going to follow up on this article in our November issue with examples of successful fundraisers shared by our readers. To share your story, go to the complete our fundraising survey.

An example of a success story from Barhyte's article:

"Little Angels Child Care needs to raise money to purchase classroom computers. They set a goal of $5,000 plus $500 they will need to spend on advertising to get there. That total is their fundraising goal (i.e. desired profit – expenses = fundraising goal). A local corporation matched the $2,500 they raised in raffle tickets, doubling their efforts. They purchased computers with the funds, making their child care program more desirable to area families."
