Embracing Technological Advances

One chapter in this book, written by Brian Puerling and Angela Fowler, suggests that teachers should, "See technology as another support system. Technologies can support better communication with parents as well as more appropriate assessment. So though it may be difficult to embrace at first, you might just find it very supportive of your developmentally appropriate practice with young children and 21^st-century skills."

"As technology learners of the 21^st-century, teachers must constantly be willing to embrace what is ‘our’ emerging technology and decide what technologies we are comfortable with, while always pushing ourselves to learn more. This is how we will discover best practices for teachers and teaching with technology."
