Editor’s Note: What will children do in this space? This question was posed frequently when I toured the new University of Wyoming Early Care and Education Center in Laramie prior to its opening. During my visit with Mark and Peggy, it was a joy to behold the way in which they interact and work together as they often paused and reflected together about what children would do in this beautiful new space. They share a commitment to transforming early childhood by helping teachers learn to be with children, to see the child's perspective, to create environments, and develop strategies that support children's strengths and affirm children as individuals. Strong as advocates for children and families, there can be no doubt that they are indeed changing lives in Laramie and beyond.
