Celebrating Your Cook
January 9, 2006
One kind word can warm three winter months.
-Japanese Proverb

Exchange magazine is focusing on food and nutrition issues in early childhood programs in our May/June 2006 issue. We invite you to nominate your cook to be recognized on the cover or in the story on food and nutrition in the May/June issue. To do so, send us an e-mail to [email protected] providing us with the following information about your cook…

1. The name of your cook.

2. How many continuous years has your cook prepared meals for your early childhood program?

3. How does he/she contribute to managing an efficient kitchen?

4. What role does your cook play in promoting good nutrition in your early childhood program?

5. How does your cook relate to the children in your program? Does he/she play a special role with children?

6. Share a story/anecdote that illustrates what is so special about your cook.

7. Please share one recipe for a child's favorite food your cook prepares.
