Another Exchange partner presentation is the History Seminar founded by Dorothy Hewes and scheduled on Friday, November 20, 9:00am-11:15am and 12:15pm-5:00pm in the Renaissance Washington, Meeting Rooms 8 & 9. The full schedule of 17 presentations (25 presenters) including Carol Brunson Day, NBCDI, and Joan Lombardi, USDHHS, appears in the Final Program on page 89.
OMEP-USNC, an Exchange Strategic Partner, will sponsor its annual panel on Thursday, November 19, 2:00pm-3:30pm in the Renaissance in Meeting Room 2. The title is “Giving our Children the Gift of a More Peaceful World: Global Education and Opportunities for Creative Development.” Panelists are John Surr, OMEP-USNC’s Washington Liaison; Ashfaq Ishaq, executive director, International Child Art Foundation, Inc.; Judith Wagner, Whittier College and president-elect of OMEP-USNC, and Edna Ranck, moderator and OMEP-USNC president. Judith attended and presented at the World Forum in Belfast in June, and John became an Honorary Member of World OMEP in Nigeria in August. OMEP-USNC is also one of the sponsors of the Universal Children's Day and 20th Anniversary of UN Convention on the Rights of Children on Friday that is also the 50th anniversary of the Declaration of the Rights of the Child.
