"VICTORVILLE — Two adults were arrested and up to 20 people have now been identified in a Wednesday brawl among parents during a kindergarten graduation ceremony at Puesta Del Sol Elementary School, a school district official said.
"Sheriff’s deputies arrested two women Thursday in connection with the fight, which stopped Wednesday’s graduation ceremony and put the school at 15887 Academy Street on lockdown...
"According to a witness, several mothers were involved in a verbal argument which turned physical in a field near the ceremony. At that point, several men jumped in, turning the incident into a brawl. The witness also stated someone involved in the fight possibly had a weapon."

At first, I was in disbelief at the title of the article. Of course, it seems it is for the shock value. I do not know or care what caused several adults to act so horribly that they were arrested, but I find it disturbing that it was probably witnessed by several children, children, possibly of those arrested. What a shame that parents are so misbehaved in front of their children. Then why are they so surprised when their children misbehave in front of them. It is the same at many events, little league games, basketball games, dance recitals, etc. Parents do not know how to behave in public and in front of their children. Someone forgot to tell them there is a day when the world is no longer "all about me". Growing up is difficult enough when you are a child, it is more difficult when you are an adult.

We need to have accurate reporting here please. I am currently taking a Psychology class and this week discussing aggression in various cultures. I would be interested in knowing the culture/race of those involved and more details.

As I read and re-read this article it seems that the altercation didn't even occur at the school. Is this correct? If it didn't actually happen at the school and did happen "...in a field near the ceremony..." why did the author make is sound like it happened at the ceremony. It could have not even been related but it is not clear in what was written.

Not having read the book yet - it seems this would give a good insight for providers to understand their customers better. Honestly, if you have never placed your child in a daycare situation, then you have no real idea of how painful, guilty, and difficult it can be. But, if you are Provider who has personally experienced this with your own child - you can relate much better to the parents of your childcare children.
Many people don't realize how important it is to connect and understand their customer's perspective - if you are running a business - you must understand your customer - otherwise you will have none. It's just part of providing quality services.
