Income disparity seems a limited way to compare the well-being of children to me. Of course we should look at that, but without looking at other factors it seems to me that this could be misleading. There are so many other factors that affect the well-being of children - maternal health, education, access to health care, health of families, environmental issues, stability of government, geography, etc. Admittedly, I haven't read the whole article. However, seeing $10 for Iran does not jive with what I know about the quality of life in Iran for most children. Iran has excellent education and health care for most of its children.
