Books of Influence
April 6, 2011
A child loves play, not because it’s easy, but because it’s hard.
-Benjamin Spock, Pediatrician, 1903-1998
What books have your read lately that fell outside our profession, yet have influenced your thinking about our profession or your role in it? I will share a few non-early education books that have influenced me and then invite your insights.
  • Born to Run by Christopher McDougall
  • Emotional Intelligence 2.0 by Travis Bradbury
  • Enchantment: The Art of Changing Hearts, Minds, and Actions by Guy Kawasaki
  • Outliers: The Story of Success by Malcolm Gladwell
  • Shine: Using Brain Science to Get the Best from Your People by Edward M. Hallowell
  • Wikinomics: How Mass Collaboration Changes Everything by Don Tapscott

Share non-ECE books that you have read recently and found insightful in today's Exchange Insta Poll. Then check back later in the week to see what books others recommended.
