It was 1991 and I was working as an assistant teacher at a Montessori-inspired early learning center. I remember sitting in the staff lounge talking to another assistant teacher who was pursuing her associate’s degree in child development. “What is that?” I recall asking, not knowing what kind of education would lead to a career in early childhood. That question started my educational journey. Over 25 years later, my education and role have changed quite a bit, yet the early childhood educational landscape hasn’t changed all that much.

Like so many in the field of early childhood education, at Bright Horizons we have strong convictions about learning.
