_ Be positive! Don't tell me that I'll have a great time at child care and then tell grandma that you feel guilty about enrolling me. I pick up on your feelings very easily! If you feel great about leaving . . . I'll feel great about staying.

_ Don't mind me if the first day I love it, and the second day I hate it!! It's a new place, new kids, new adults, and new schedule. Keep my schedule consistent and I'll be fine!

_ When you drop me off in the morning, give me a kiss and a hug and leave!!! When you linger around for a while to see how I'm doing, it makes me feel uncertain because you feel uncertain. Then I don't want to stay . . . I want to go with you. If I'm crying, the teachers will hold me. They love me also and want the best for me.
