Every day, in my k-5 classroom, at 11:45am, my 25 5 yr olds and I, and anyone else who would show up, would move and dance and sing 'til noon, which was lunchtime. All children learned to let go by the end of the year, and just enjoy movement. But it was individual, and us adults would help the 'slow to warm up to the idea' children by holding their hands and moving or dancing with them. It was a cherished 15 minutes of our day. Greg and Steve were favorites, and I'd ask the children to change the words or the movements-great fun!
