Message to President Obama
November 13, 2013
Leadership is action, not position.
-Donald H. McGannon

This is your opportunity to shape legislation impacting the early childhood field.  In the ExchangeEveryDay on November 6, "Preschools or Prisons," you were invited to participate in a survey about key features of President Obama's new "Preschool for All" initiative.  Over 2,500 ExchangeEveryDay readers from all 50 states completed this survey!  If you have not yet participated in the survey, we invite you to do so this week " before we start preparing a final report.  This report will be delivered by our partner in the project, the Early Care and Education Consortium (ECEC), to the key players in the federal government who will be shaping the implementation guidelines for "Preschool for All." At the same time, the final report will be made available to all ExchangeEveryDay readers and all members of ECEC.

Today we are providing one more avenue for sending a message to the administration.  We invite you to participate in the Exchange Insta-Poll delving deeper into one of the survey questions.  We want your opinion on how any additional federal funding should be applied to ensure that programs provide high-quality services.  After you submit your views on this question, you will be directed to a page showing the up-to-the-minute results.  Then throughout the week you will be able to follow the results at www.ChildCareExchange.com.

Thank you Alexandra and Kim for the correction. We apologize for failing to correctly address President Obama. We will be sure to prevent this error in the future.

Please use the honorific "President".

Using the President's last name like that is so disrespectful. It was sort of shocking seeing it like that in the subject line. I assumed at a quick glance that is was some angry spam.

We should address the president as President Obama, not just Obama as referenced in the title.
